This $4.3 billion-dollar casino and resort project remains on track to open sometime this year. It was purchased by the Genting Group and earmarked to become Resorts World Las Vegas. The 2008 economic recession brought an end to those plans with the land remaining vacant until 2013.

Part of the new plan was to demolish the original building and use the 60-acre property to build a $4.8 billion resort called Echelon Place.
